Takahisa Fujinami’s record for participation in 26 consecutive world championships has been broken: it was from 1996 to 2021. The Spanish champion Adam Raga will turn 42 in April when he will be ready to start a new adventure in the outdoor world championship riding a Sherco and it will be his 27th.

This is not a simple participation, since at the recent indoor in Sheffield (last Saturday) he placed second, behind Toni Bou, ahead of Jaime Bustò and Gabriel Marcelli.

Phototrial has been lucky enough to follow his career since his debut: here is a photo for each year of the world championship, with Gas Gas and TRRS being the only brands with which he has performed until now.

Adam has won 6 world championship titles, 2 outdoor, 4 indoor, and 8 Spanish championship titles. His favorite number in competition is number 68, in reference to his titles. He was also 18 times world champion at the Trial des Nations and 14 times outdoor world vice-champion.

Here is what he said in the presentation to the Sherco team at the beginning of the year.

“I have known Marc Teissier (owner of Sherco) for a long time. Sherco is an important player in the trials and sector enduro, and I wanted to work with the brand. For me it is a very interesting project to find areas of development to improve and develop motorcycles.

I saw that Marc placed a lot of trust in me and that he recognized my skills, that is important for me. He knows I can do a good job on the bike and have good results. Sherco is a company where you feel the passion and motivation, motivation to develop efficient motorcycles. But they also want to win against much larger companies and I like that. They do things with the heart, with a lot of motivation, it corresponds to what I believe and feel. The bike is brand new, it’s the one that was launched last year, and we will continue to improve it. The goal is to make the best trials bike in the world.

I started riding the bike and I have very good feelings about it. The base is very well designed. I am going to participate in the world indoor trials championship, the Xtrial and the world championship of TrialGP. I will also continue to train and get used to the bike to be at the top and obtain the best possible results.”

Battuto il record il Takahisa Fujinami di partecipazione a 26 mondiali consecutivi: dal 1996 al 2021. Il fuoriclasse spagnolo Adam Raga compirà 42 anni ad aprile quando sarà pronto ad iniziare una nuova avventura nel mondiale outdoor alla guida di una Sherco e sarà il suo 27-esimo.

Non si tratta di una semplice partecipazione visto cha al recente indoor si Sheffield (sabato scorso) si è piazzato secondo, dietro a Toni Bou, davanti a Jaime Bustò e Gabriel Marcelli.

Phototrial ha avuto la fortuna di seguire la sua carriera dall’esordio: ecco qui una foto per ogni anno di mondiale, con Gas Gas e TRRS che sono state le sue uniche marche con le quali si è esibito fino ad ora.

Adam ha vinto 6 titoli mondiali, 2 titoli outdoor, 4 indoor e 8 titoli spagnoli. Il suo numero preferito in gara è il numero 68, in riferimento ai suoi titoli. È stato anche 18 volte campione del mondo al Trial des Nations e 14 volte vicecampione del mondo outdoor.

Qui c’è quanto ha affermato nella presentazione nel team Sherco a inizio anno.

“Conosco Marc Teissier (proprietario di Sherco) da molto tempo. Sherco è un attore importante nel settore trial ed enduro e volevo lavorare con il marchio. Per me è un’esperienza molto interessante lavorare allo sviluppo per migliorare le moto.

Ho visto che Marc riponeva molta fiducia in me e che riconosceva le mie capacità, questo per me è importante. Sa che posso fare un buon lavoro sulla moto e ottenere buoni risultati. Sherco è un’azienda in cui senti la passione e la motivazione, quella per sviluppare moto efficienti. Ma vogliono anche vincere contro aziende molto più grandi e questo mi piace. Fanno le cose con il cuore, con molta motivazione, corrisponde a ciò in cui credo e sento. La moto è nuova di zecca: è quella lanciata l’anno scorso e continueremo a migliorarla. L’obiettivo è realizzare la migliore moto da trial al mondo.

Ho iniziato a provare la moto e ho ottime sensazioni al riguardo. La base è molto ben progettata. Parteciperò al campionato mondiale di trial outdoor, all’Xtrial e al campionato mondiale di TrialGP. Continuerò inoltre ad allenarmi e ad abituarmi alla moto per essere al top e ottenere i migliori risultati possibili.”
